An integral part of any cardiology clinic is a painless and side-effect-free ECG.
The examination gives an idea of the electrical activity accompanying the heart function (heartbeat) and its changes. The ECG curve is immediately displayed on a monitor.
The heart muscle contracts at each beat and emits electrical signals. These signals can be accurately perceived with electrodes placed at specific points on the body.
