How Medicare Egészségközpont Zrt. works toward digital accessibility on medicare-group.hu, including status, known limits, and how to send feedback.

Compliance status

Partially compliant — goal: WCAG 2.1 Level AA

We continuously improve the public website so people can perceive, operate and understand content with assistive technologies and keyboard navigation. Full conformance is an ongoing programme, not a one-time claim.

What already works

  • Skip link to main content (appears on Tab)
  • Landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer) and labelled controls in the shared shell
  • Keyboard support for search overlay and mobile menu (Escape, focus management)
  • Form labels and error highlighting on interactive web forms
  • Respect for prefers-reduced-motion where motion is decorative

Known limitations

  • Older WordPress-imported pages may have uneven headings or incomplete image alternatives
  • Live on-page translation can change visible labels; control attributes are protected where possible
  • External booking and partner sites (e.g. online appointment systems) follow their own accessibility rules
  • Some complex interactive boards (e.g. price list filters) are still being hardened for screen readers

Legal background

This page documents our accessibility approach in line with good practice under Act XVII of 2022 on accessibility requirements for products and services (Hungarian implementation of the European Accessibility Act), and with WCAG 2.1 Level AA as the technical target. The formal accessibility statement template under ITM Decree 30/2019 applies to public-sector bodies; we publish equivalent information voluntarily for transparency.
