minimally invasive surgical treatment of colon and rectal tumours but also performs surgical treatment of other abdominal and gastrointestinal clinical aspects.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The team members are specially trained oncologists who have extensive experience in the complex treatment of gastrointestinal tumours and are recognized experts in the field.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The work of the surgical team is supported by the so-called \u201cmultidisciplinary team\u201d, which includes an oncologist, a radiation therapist, a radiologist and a pathologist.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left\" class=\"vc_custom_heading\" >With what symptoms should you visit a surgical oncologist?<\/h2><div class=\"vc_empty_space  sc_height_tiny\"   style=\"height: 32px\"><span class=\"vc_empty_space_inner\"><\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_row-fluid shape_divider_top-none examination in the presence of the following symptoms:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>bloody stool<\/li>\n<li>abdominal cramps<\/li>\n<li>change in bowel movements<\/li>\n<li>significant weight loss<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left\" class=\"vc_custom_heading\" >What diseases does surgical oncology treat?<\/h2>\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p>We treat the following diseases in our oncology department:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>malignant tumours of the colon and rectum<\/li>\n<li>polyps that cannot be removed endoscopically<\/li>\n<li>diverticulosis\/diverticulitis<\/li>\n<li>tumours of the small intestine (e.g. NET, GIST)<\/li>\n<li>tumours of the vermiform appendix<\/li>\n<li>adrenal tumours<\/li>\n<li>lesions of the spleen (e.g. ITP, cyst)<\/li>\n<li>retroperitoneal tumours<\/li>\n<li>proctological >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the appointment, the complaints are discussed, the surgeon reviews the results of the available tests.
