The word traumatology comes from the Greek word trauma<\/em>, which means wound, injury. As its name implies, this branch of medicine specializes in injuries resulting from accidents or acts of violence, as well as their treatment and cure.<\/p>\n

The Hungarian language also uses the name of the field as \u201caccident surgery\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

What does the traumatologist do?<\/h2>\n\t

The traumatologist specializes in treating post-injury lesions, relieving pain, and restoring the anatomical condition that preceded the accident. In the event that the extent of the injury is such that it cannot be fully restored to its previous state, the traumatologist makes an effort to restore the function of the injured body part or organ as much as possible.<\/p>\n

Traumatic cases include injuries that result from some external mechanical impact. These include bone fractures, joint sprains, strains, soft tissue contusions, muscle, tendon and nerve injuries.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

It is not possible to treat acute surgical interventions, or complex cases that need multidisciplinary examinations, injuries resulting from a violent act or traffic accident at our clinic!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Serious injuries requiring immediate care, as well as ensembles of injuries, are treated according to a nationally organized on-call system in the specialized emergency units of the central institutions, where complex care is provided at all hours of the day.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our traumatologists receive patients as part of outpatient care at a pre-arranged time. At our traumatology clinic, it is possible to treat minor soft tissue injuries, diagnose minor limb fractures, sprains, strains, and conservatively treat them.<\/p>\n
