The LHP procedure allows the treatment of second- and third-degree haemorrhoids in a much gentler way than conventional surgery<\/a> \u2013 especially with regards to pain and missed days from work. There are two types of haemorrhoids, external and internal. While the former are located under the skin surrounding the anus, internal haemorrhoids are located on the inner wall of the rectum. External haemorrhoids are often not only painful, but also cause bloody stools and itching during defecation.<\/p>\n
